Overview
Cala Mitjaneta is the miniature companion to Cala Mitjana, located just a stone's throw away around the western rocky headland. This tiny, picturesque cove is one of the smallest beaches in Menorca, often consisting of just a sliver of white sand, or sometimes no sand at all depending on the tide and sea conditions. When the tide is low, it offers a highly exclusive and intimate spot to lay a towel right by the water's edge.
Even if the sand is covered by the sea, Cala Mitjaneta remains a must-visit for its incredibly clear, shallow waters. The small rocky bay acts as a natural pool, reflecting brilliant shades of turquoise. It is a popular spot for swimmers to cross over from Cala Mitjana, or for sunbathers to lounge on the flat rocks surrounding the cove.
There are absolutely no services here, and space is extremely limited. The appeal of Cala Mitjaneta lies in its wild, secret-garden feel. Visiting early in the morning allows you to catch the golden sun rays lighting up the seabed, showcasing the breathtaking clarity of this tiny Balearic jewel.
